I was just wondering how many people have pink star polyps. I got some at an LFS and was wondering because everyone seems to have green.

those do not look pink

i have tried having star polyps but they just grow to fast, i want to enjoy this hobby by watching.

i have some too. they arent super mind melting blinding pink, more of a light purple, but still considered pink star polyps.

I usually see them called encrusting gorgonian.

Keep this stuff on a rock on the sandbed, it will take over.

Looks more like a Daisy polyp, just about the same thing but the ones I have seen listed as "Daisy" have longer tubes.

thats the side thats right in the flow, the polyps on the other side are a fair amount longer, the longest about 1inch tip to base.

Here we call it white star pollyps, although its pink.
Theses pollyps grow pretty fast and kill whatever they touch. So keep them away from your SPS bases. Mine is encrusting an isolated rock mixed with the green one what makes a nice contrast.
