Hello fellow reefers,

Who can share their experiences of the beautiful Pinkface Wrasse (Thalassoma quinquevittatum). They are one of the smaller of the genus, and I hear mixed results on temperament.

It would likely be mixed with other wrasses such as a Bluehead (Thalassoma bifasciatum), Christmas (Halichoeres claudia), Hoeven's (Halichoeres melanurus), and a Yellow (Halichoeres chrysus).

I appreciate all good and bad experiences.

I would be using an acclimation box to introduce the Pinkface.

All Thalassomas develop a attitude the bigger they get and with one already in your tank it might not end well for you

Thalassoma wrasses, while beautiful, get quite aggressive, particularly toward other wrasses, and especially toward any othr Thalassoma wrasse.

I removed a bluehead wrasse from my FOWLR. I figured one of the smallest Thalassoma species, in a FO, would be OK. Nope. Just mean.
