how easy are they to use . calibration on the salinty meter should be done how often and if you have one of these units what can you say about them are they worth it or at least until you can afford one of the master 400 dollar units like the Reef Keeper Elite.

I have the salinity monitor. and since I have 2 tanks, I never bought the apex add on for conductivity. My 210 has teh apex on it & the 65 doesnt have anything special.
The Pinpoint monitor is a piece of cake to use and real simple to calibrate.
I'll pry calibrate it every 6 months or so.

pH meter is great - calibrate every so often (6 months / year) and works great - accuracy to 2 digits (1/100 of a unit) - much better than what I can determine on a color chart. just keep the probe of this meter always wet, even when storing. they're fragile to begin with, but I'm proof that if you let them dry out, they'll break even if you don't drop them - I couldn't even see the crack in the probe, but it broke - had to replace it.
