I would like to but a pipefish and put him in my refugium.it is about 10 gallon and wonderin if this would be recommended from you experts out there

A pipe will completely decimate the pod population in a small fuge like yours within a week, so unless you acquire a weaned fish, it won't work out. Also, there are only a couple of pipe species that will work in a 10 gal space-wise, and since your fuge is likely only partially full of water, you're even more behind the 8 ball.

I figured it out my refugium is 11.5 gallons and is totally filled with water and riddled with tigerpod, copepods, and rotifers but I never thought of him decimating the supply of food for him. That's why I wanted to ask first because im sure the lfstores wouldn't have a problem selling one to me.

Mantis is more fun IMO for a small species tank. I am planning a mantis for my 16gal. (Sorry, I don't mean to offend anyone here, pipefish are fantastic in the right situation).

They're definitely fun to keep...
