Very nice waterfaller. Are the two different kinds of pipefish in the same tank? How big is the tank and how long has it been up and running?

Hi and thanks. It a 75 gal w/ a 29 gal refugium. There are a pair of bluestripes in the fuge, and dragonface in the main. It has been set up for 3 1/2 years. That is the male bluestripe..I have'nt caught the female yet in a pic. The male is very elsusive since I added her, but when I do catch a glimpse of him his tummy is bulging out! We know what that means!

Here are my Janss Pipes. For those who asked, some pipes can take the flow of a reef, but the generally prefer cooler water than most reefs run (72 to 76). Most eat live BBS, generally enriched, but can be trained to frozen 9mine ate cyclopeeze and H2O Mini-Mysis. These guys died from a bacterial infection (probably vibrio sp.) about 40 days after I added them to my seahorse tank. Mixing syngnathis species is kinda like russian roulette, I lost

OK, I am new here and have only brackid water with Frontosa(Kigoma). What do you mean pregnant about a HE! What Am I missing?

Male pipefish give birth just like seahorses. It is the only animal that the males give birth.

Mine is a multibarred pipefish or Doryrhamphus multiannulatus

i just got a dragon face, i thuoght it was called a yellow banded pipefish, very confused now, have truoble finding info on them, was under the impletion that it would replace my manderin on my stocking list, i have pipefish now, 5 day in having it, housed with a barred cardinal fish and a clown that never leaves his hashan anename
