Tank is still in production and will be 84x30x25 and primarily SPS. I'll have 4 XR30 G3 Pros. Would that be sufficient, and if so looking for height and placement of them and which lenses. To a large degree I'm sure I can experiment with lenses once mounted but initially thinking at 9" above water I could go with standard lenses on outside two and the spread sufficient to be able to put wide angle on the two inside to reduce shadowing? Anyway, I've never used them before and shooting in the dark so toss out any ideas including height.
Second question is mounting. I will be building a wood canopy. If I get RMS slides and the 80.5" track can the track support everything over that span if only securely supported on each end? If it would work otherwise, and only need more support, I can also add additional braces and/or put them across supported plywood and cutouts for the lights themselves to hang through. Again, this is only what my imagination has come up with so any experience or ideas would be appreciated.
