Placement for xenia and how to attach

I need a recommendation on placement of xenia in my 55 gal? Running 250w HQI MH/ 2x29w T5 combo. MH's are on 6 hours/day T5's are on 10 hrs a day. The fixture is sitting 8" off the water surface. Based on what I've read and photos I've seen here on RC, I'm assuming down at the bottom.

Was also wondering how to secure a stock of xenia to rubble or my live rock?

i have heard that super/ crazy glue wont work on a bare stock of xenia...if it has a coraline growth on the bottom of the stock then you can glue it...otherwise i would trust the rubber band method best...

cant help you with lighting requirements though..

Just drop it on a low current area or use the sandwich method (place xenia between two small pieces of live rock) and it will attach within a week.

you can glue it should hold it long enough then it attach itself. sandwich between rocks also works well. you can put it up under the light they love it my tank. also seem to prefer low flow

I have had awesome luck with the fishing line method. Take some fishing line and a needle and just go right through the middle of the xenia. Tie the end off like a knot and wait a week, then just pull the line out.
