placement of Pipe Organ Coral

Hi all,
need some help here.
Just received a very nice Pipe Organ Coral.
I would like to place him on the bottom part of the tank with a good medium flow.
Because of his calcareous skeleton can I just put him in the sandbed (what I would prefer) or do I have to attach him to a rock or just stick between 2 rocks?
Any suggestions are welcome

i have had mine for a year and a half. it sits on the sand bed with med-high light and a lot of flow. it has grown very fast for me. at least tripled in size not counting the numerous frags taken off.

My Organ Pipe Coral was doing miserable when it was on a rock or on the sand bed. Once I epoxied it to a rock, it became very happy and has doubled maybe tripled in size. It is about 1/3 of the way down from the top. Good Luck

I have mine on the sand bed as well...and its doing grate.

I am not sure but I thought that I read that a sandbed is where they are found !
