Placement of wall torch?

Got this really nice looking wall torch on Black Friday sale. Have had it at the bottom in the sand since then, mostly for light acclimatizing.

Should I leave it in the sand or should it be mounted somehow on the rocks? If so, how do you best mount it on the rocks as the skeleton is fairly large?

i have my torch on the sand bed in a relatively shady spot, but euphyllia is pretty adaptable to light. my frogspawn is front and center, about mid way up, getting strong light, while i have a hammer sitting in an in between area.

i usually worry more about flow than light with euphyllia, as long as they are properly acclimated to the light.
