Placement Recommendation

Roger / All:

My tank measures 86" x 33" x 29" tall. I have (2) 6000, and (2) 6100. Other than the streams I'll have about 1000 GPH from my return pump somewhere around the center of the tank. I have a couple of deco rocks and also a couple of magnet mounts but I'm thinking that I might want to put all the streams in deco rocks. The tank is not set up yet but I'm planning to aquascape into a couple of islands. What do you think about this? Do you have any suggestions on how to position the pumps given the above info?

What type of corals are you going to focus on or will it be mixed reef?

Mainly soft corals, but I still want to ensure plenty of flow to keep detritus stirred up, I may upgrade the 6000's to 6100's.

I might try using sequence mode with all four pumps on the back wall aimed parallel to each other at an angle I would put the 2 6100's first so they have the longest flow pattern to the far corner. Place higher flow corals nearest the 6100's.

I was trying to avoid having the pumps on the back (or especially the side) of the tank, but maybe I'll put the 6100's on the back in the corners like you suggest and keep the 6000's in the rocks at parallel angles.
