Places to buy salt locally

Im almost out of salt and would like to get red sea or reef xrystals . I usually order but was looking for a place locally that has either that's fairly cheap. A few places I looked were around 80 dollars for reef crystals when online its 55 with shipping.

I'm looking Elmira horseheads Corning or close by

I imagine this makes for quite the cost savings. Ever buy in bulk like that? I would be hesitant if it was a 100% unknown salt. However, I would be interested. I only run nano, so I don't need a huge quantity, but I would pitch in for a couple 5 gallon buckets worth, if it was cost efficient compared to IO.

I was thinking of getting reef crystals,, leaning towards the 200 gal. boxes. anyone else want in

Yeah that's what I buy the 200 gall. I'd be down. How much are we talking. Dr foster and smith is $54 w free shipping.

I usually just order from here but I was looking to find some locally. But if you want to get a bulk order I'm game as long as the price is right

I would also buy a box as well, if the price is good, if its REALLY good, i might do 2. Never looked into bulk however. Im sure buying in bulk like that we should be able to knock some off. Also just spoke to a co-worker, depending on price, he might be interested in a box as well.

I called f&s today and talked with a nice lady that didn't seem to know a whole lot about buying salt by the pallet . so someone is supposed to call me back tomorrow. that's where we stand as of now

Keep me posted, im going to be running low soon (another tank build in a week or two). So ill be looking to buy some salt soon anyway.

ok here's the scoop so far f&s 53.99 a box or 2159.60 a pallet. that fish place 47.33 a box or 1893.20 a pallet and i have to pick it up. i want to try a couple other avenues yet .

just might be able to get it for around 40.00 a box waiting on a call back from the owner of the store.

well I think we have hit rock bottom on the salt price. how does 45.00 a box sound and I have to pick it up, which is not that big a deal. so who wants some salt ?
