placing a M. Doreensis

I have what is believed to be a m. Doreensis. I run a BB tank, and read that these need to bury their foot in sand. I have placed a large bowl of sand in a desperate attempt to keep this guy. Will he bury his foot on his own, or do I have to plant him? I tried to plant him, but it didn't work so good. Any suggestions?

anyone with experience please respond. Here is a picture. Do you think this will work? Will the Anemone tunnel down through the sand if he is happy?

They can certainly burrow on their own, but with doreensis:

- I tend to dig a depression to the bottom of the container, place softball sized rock with a depression, place the anemone foot down next to rock on the bottom, fill in around rock and anemone with sand.

- Then I cover most of the sand with rubble to keep the clowns from blowing it out.

Nice looking specimen.

I followed Scott's recommendations and it worked like a charm :) Now the nem just has to grow bigger so it'll cover the unsightly tupperware :D

My Purple LTA is burying himself in the container I put in. I got home from work to find he has settled. I am finding these creatures like to do things slowly. Now I have to camouflage the bowl.
