Planning for my next upgrade already..Go Big or Go Home

Dan , its better to have a plans than no plan at all. But action is needed to complete the task. Good luck in looking for a job man.

I totally understand Dan. Thats the world of sales. I have been in the mortage business for some time. I was laid off from an executive postioning (again) because of financial restructuing last month. I have debated changing industries many times, but luckily I have already landed another position; just in time for me to miss the tournament :(

Good luck out there.

mark Im glad you found a new job its a PITA in these times.. I was int he Mortgage/Banking industry for the last 12yrs.. I'm done with it.. Im not going back I'm sick of wearing suits and ties to work=) I made a ton of money bought everything I wanted when i was working but I wsn't happy I really really hate my job...So I went to school to be a mechanic I've always loved working on cars and always have in my spare time.. Alot of mechanics are getting laid off right now which really sucks what sucks even more is there hiring guys like me fresh out of school to take those jobs because they can pay me and others less money than seasoned mechanics.. My GF and I are actually going to look at houses today=)

Yeap sales is where the money is. We are still taking applications through Monday at USPS.com. The TE carrier postions are not career postions but all the TE's in the past have been able to take the test and are now career. it is a way to get your foot in the door. If you have been in management before it only takes 1 year with the PO and you can apply for the management positions. Most start at 52,000 a year for intial level and top out at 67,000. My position tops out at $100,000. Have fun house hunting.:D

Damn there seems to be a Lot of Mortgage bums in this hobby hahahah.......................I was an Underwriter before I opened the store. It's a good paying Industry if you like looking for a job every 2-5 years when your company shuts down hahaha.

+1 here for a Pennisula tank. Once I have gone 3 sided I can't go back hahaha

Yeah I really like that pensinsula in your shop Rob it's pretty sweet.. Yeah it's a good industry to be in though since we have such an expensive hobby=)

Karen thanks again=) for the job info and also the tank builder info=) I think a rimless 450 would be amazing!!!

32" is the min door width( modern house) Many are 36" if you need more then that you can normally get another 2-4 " by pulling the Casing. Had a counch many years ago that was great, but we had to take in thry the front window... :)

Some houses have double doors;)

As much as I hate Acrylic anything over 300g IMO has to be acrylic just for my piece of mind and the fact it would take 50 people to lift a glass tank over 300g.

hmmmmm I really like that TOTM from last december.. that one was sweeet... Yeah I think with a crazy 450 especially a rimless 450 TOTM should be an attainable goal...

on a side note.. my girlfriend and I went to Steinhart yesterday and sat in front of the reef tank for about 30minutes.. And when she was checking out all the fish and especially the HUGE gold spotted rabbitfish that dwarf out little one.. She made the comment how can I say no to a 450 when I want all of these fish=)

Picked up a few 150g Rubbermaid Stock tanks today=) one is for a QT on my parents koi pond and the other is mine for this prohect when it gets rolling my dad's buddy also gave me a free 55g acrylic tank..Not sure what it will end up being used for yet it anything but the 150rubbermaid will either end up being a sump, refugium, or a nice big water change chamber,..

55 gallon surge tank baby....

The rubber maid stock tanks don't work very well as sumps, they are just too high. Now a fuge might work. There are also alot better things for make up water that use alot less space.
