Planning for my next upgrade already..Go Big or Go Home

One of those things I had to learn the hard way... my last system had 2 surges on mechaincal ball valves( no bubbles). They made it so I did not need a closed loop.

Did you trigger the ball valves with some kind of float switch? I'm really curious what kind you used. I got a quote from a spa shop of almost $1000 for an electronically controlled ball valve (valve, controller and actuator).

If You want large Fuge/Sump to go along with your Big tank,
Look into a Tomato Tub( The ones they transport the tomatoes from the field to the processor, with Semi's.),
That would give you enough room for all your equipment & have
Large fuge.

No they were electronic with a controler. I forget what I paid, but they were $$$$. 3" models that were made for the irragation/ waste water industry. other then a SS shaft they were all plastic. It just took me like 2 weeks to tweak the system.

I got them from a irragation/ reclaimed water company in grass valley. They are no longer open.

If I was looking for a big sump for cheap, I'd look into the aquaculture/ irragation/ water run off industrys to see what they had in polyethylene tanks. I know you can pick them up for $.50-$1 a gallon up to about 1000 gallons.

There are several suppliers not far from sacramento.
