Planning future HOB Overflow and Sump addition

Just wondering if adding a HOB Overflow and Sump AFTER the tank has been running for a while is a good idea. The glass is tempered so drilling it now while it's dry isn't an option.

We want to get the "right" equipment at the start so we're looking at the LifeReef HOB Overflow and Sump/Refugium but are considering doing that after the initial start up.

Besides making sure there is enough room between the wall and the tank for the HOB Overflow, is there anything else we should do?

Does anyone have and tips, tricks, or nightmare stories they want to share about this?

I have a LifeReef, and it seems fine. I still can't quite trust the hang-on overflows, personally. The tank stand design might also be intended to allow adding a sump from the back size, so I'd watch out for that, too.

I have a HOB overflow CPR100 excelent just make shure to buy the aqualifer pup to never lose siphon. Recomendation.... go to RC sey/trade forums are really goods acrilics tanks you migth use them as sump.
