Been thinking about it. I made part of it, at least the main chamber, but no ends on it yet. So it could end up being a Kalk reactor. Just depends on what i need next.

There is an excellent thread in the DIY forum on how to construct one out of PVC. I just added one to my mixed reef and it took high nitrates down to 0 in 2 weeks

Thanks Jeff, I have an old protein skimmer that is built just like the instructions patch the venturi valve holes and a few other adjustments and I'll be good to go. Do you have one?

I have also been considering this DIY project. I would like to make mine out of clear PVC, but I have to buy at least a 5 ft length of it from Savko. Is anyone else interested in taking 2 feet. My calculations having it coming out as $45 for 2 feet of 4" PVC with the tax. I have my brother in Columbus on and he is coming home tomorrow night and can bring it. If I can find 2 other people who wants 2 ft increments I will have him get a 6ft length. Let me know.
