Playin' with my new K10D

Here's some more.
I've been trying to get a good shot of this Twin Spot Wrasse for a while, but he was too quick.

Looking good. What kind of lens did they throw in? Try downloading Google's Picasa and playing around with the pics...just doing autocontrast and autocolor can really make those pics pop out even more.

The "free" extra lens is the Quantaray Autofocus 70-300mm F4-5.6 Zoom/Macro. That's what I used on the last batch of photos.

I use Picasa and have for a while now. It's great for tuning and cropping the photos. I adjusted most of the pics here with that. The only one I did in Photoshop is the close-up of the polyps.

I'm sure I can do better once I get to know the camera and the concepts in general (f stops, shutter speed, white balance, etc.) Right now I'm still using the auto settings. The images could be brighter IMO.

cono cono cono-come over and get some pics of my nudis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sure I'd love to. First though, I may return the tripod for a better one. The one I got seems a bit flimsy. I wanna get the wireless remote too. The camera body has image stabilization, but they don't recommend using it when the camera is on a tripod.

BTW, all the fish photos were handheld.

Wow, that Quantaray turned out some nice pics...it really seems that all the hate toward 3rd party lenses on RC is a bit unfounded. I'm loving my Tamron 18-250 and your pics look great.
