Please evaluate my first frag attempt...xenia

Ok...so I had a patch of Xenia that broke off into a second colony. So I scraped that colony off its rock and tried to stick it to another rock with a rubber band and toothpick.

In all honesty it looks horrible, and I am worried it will just junk up the tank. Point blank: Does this have any attempt of colonizing the rock? Or are these Xenia likely going to just die?

I have never done this before and thought it looked easy...but I had a hard time.

Well.. can't say for sure, but can say that I've used rubber bands many times to secure zoas to rocks before that turned out just fine.
