Please explain behavior of the Hoeven's Wrasse

It is always happens after feeding. The fish is cruising in the front of the front glass and looking straight in the room. At the same time it blows sand from the front of the tank. I have shallow sand bed and as result every day I have bare glass on the bottom in the front of the tank.
It was rarely happened before, but now it is every day procedures.

I know this fish can look for tubeworms and flatworms, but this is really strange. I have this fish for almost 5 months and it just started a week ago
I am sick and tired to move sand back every morning.
Please advice.

My yellow coris tries to stir up food off the bottom by twitching his tail, his fins, or doing a quick turn in certain areas that he knows it will collect in. The other day he put his nose on the glass & wiggled right above the sand to stir it up, which was new. Maybe that's what yours is doing.

And it's true about their name.

Simply looking for something to eat. All Halichoeres do this to some extent. They'll grab a mouthful of sand, and spit it back out. Then they'll grab anything swimming out in the water column.

This is normal behavior, and it's the cost of ownership.
