Today i got a great deal on a 27 g marine land cube and stand, I'm planning on putting the eshopps rs75 sump underneath, and have heard great things about the SC-65 skimmer, so i believe that will fit in that sump perfectly.
About midlevel i want to put a display refugium between 6-10 gallons and i guess the best way to do it would be have a drain from fuge to the return compartment of the sump, and have the return T off with a ball valve to the fuge as a supply to the fuge.
My questions are:
What overflow would you recommend for my 18x20 27g display, how would you plumb it?
How would you plumb the refugium to the sump, a small overflow, or a bulkhead and strainer?
what return pump would you use?

I don't like overflows, I would drill into the back, bulkhead thendown to the Refug, then furthur down into the sump (in that order)
what return pump would you use?
Any pump that can handle 3' of head would work well, this turn around of water volume is less important in my opinion.
good luck

I agree with the doc, if your DT gravity feeds into the fuge then u gravity feed into the sump you would only need 1 return pump to push back up to the DT which u can have feed over the back wall and not drill a return hole. I would look into the Mag5 range... Drilling is a little more start up work but will be worth it in the long run.

Only thing that may be a problem is I realkybthinkbid like to have my fuge on the other side of the couch which is approx 8 feet from DT and sump. But if I do a gradual pitch with separate drains to the sump I think it can work

This is a huge by the way from your original question. I would tackle the sump problem first, I would drill the tank, you can do it yourself or pay someone to do it. Having the fuge 8 feet away will be a different situation, I would look into Lifereef's fuge's, they have nice setup and you could plumb it easier.

Their fuges were pretty expensive last I looked. And the reason why I wanted it separate, besides the obvious lack of stand space, was for it to be on display. I can put it rote next to my display but I was concerned with the light from one tank spilling to the other not to mention opposite displays on each side of my couch that support one another is pretty bad A**

Since you aware of they're sumps try to copy his design where the water goes to the top and falls down a channel, that would be your return. I know a guy that has a chiller 6 feet or so away and also has his AtO container right next to it and it works fine, but that is a closed loop much easier to do.

Eco the Miracle Mud folks has a cool refigium that looks like 4 small tanks right next to each other I have seen those hanging over the DT very cool design.
