Please Help! Do clams cough/sneeze?

I hope this isn't a stupid question, but I'm getting nervous. But I've seen this a couple of times here and there, but I've noticed it more frequently this week. My squamosa appears to cough or sneeze. The incurrent siphon gets really big and clam appears to be pulsing, then it looks like it pushes a bunch of air out of itself as the clam shuts a bit and actually hops from the sandbed. Then the incurrent syphon is huge for a little bit afterwards and I can see all inside the clam. Is this normal? What is this behavior??

Thank you

What a relief, thank you. All ready normal looking, it doesn't last long. Part of his mantle is against the glass (he likes the front), I bet he's trying to move so he's not touching it.

if he is trying to move like that, then he is not happy. try moving him to an area where he doesnt do that. high lighting and low-moderate flow. if hes toutching the glass, that oculd be an iritant. if you think that is the problem, move it slightyly away so its not touching the glass if it is not attached.
