My LTA has not attached and it's color has faded. It has been over a month since I bought my LTA it is 4" in diameter. My first mistake; my tank was six weeks old when I added the anemone. This was an impulse buy and I didn't do any research until after I bought it. The LTA was on it's side and not attached in the dealers tank. When I put it in my tank it got caught in a powerhead. I was watching it when it got caught and it was stuck for just a few seconds. The manufactures screen was on the powerhead and no obvious damage was done to the LTA. It lays on it side in the same corner of the tank. No matter where I try and place it works it's way back to the same corner. I tried burying it and it lifts out of the sand and goes back on it's side. It was eating pieces of shrimp just fine until my two perculas started hosting it? I tried feeding it small pieces of octopus and it let go and my other fish eats the pieces. It has been five weeks and it still has not attached and the color of the base went from bright orange to being pale and almost see through.
Can I save my LTA? My tank is 55 gallons with 90lb of LR and 80lbs of argonite sand. I started the tank on January 10th and it fully cylced after 5 weeks. Ammonia is 0, nitrites is 0, and nitrates are 10ppm.
