Please help. My mature mated Clarkii is sick. Thank you.

The first week he was having swim bladder trouble then we fed him garlic extract with his food and he seemed to be better the second week. It's now the third week and he has not been eating over the last 3 days.

Now his swim bladder is better but not perfect and one of his eyes is bulging.

I do have a 10 gallon tank not in use at the moment but not sure if it's something that can be treated.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Eye bulging is almost always a result of injury or poor water quality.

In some instances it can be treated with antibiotics, others may require a needle behind the eye, most can be treated with high quality water and a quiet tank that is darkened on 3 sides.

What was the source of the fish and can you provide some background on the tank and its current water conditions?
