Please Help!? Skinny Fish - Firesfish (died), Miday Bleeny very skinny

I have had all of my fish for over a year now. All seemed very healthy (eating well and very active). I had noticed the purple firefish getting progressively thinner. He along with all the others were eating very well but nothing seemed to fatten him up. Over time he lost more and more weight....I havent seen him in weeks so I assumed he died. I also have a midas blenny that is also very skinny now. He also vigorously eats both NLS pellets and frozen mysis. Other than the skinny appearence I don't see any other symptons. All other fish in DT are plump and happy. Could the cause be an internal parasite?? Is there some internal medication I can try without QT that won't affect reef?

It could be internal parasites or organ (liver) failure due to a chronic poisoning.
What else is in the tank besides the fish?
What type of rock is the tank decorated with?
Where do you get your water from?

Also how old was the firefish (was he fully grown when you got him?). These guys have a life expectancy of about 3 years. If you bought him large he may have been already old when you got him.

Thanks for the response.

Other than the livestock listed in my signature lines I have some hard and soft coral frags and a variety of snails for cleanup.

All of my top offs and water changes are and always have used RODI. All of my fish came from the same trusted LFS. All were QT for 6 weeks over a year ago. The fireship was indeed an adult but he got extremely skinny toward the end.

Sounds like an internal parasite. The only reef safe treatment you could try is Prazi but I've never had luck with that clearing internal parasites.

NLS Hex-Shield

NLS Hex-Shield

Thinking of trying NLS Hex-Shield medicated food. Anyone have any experience?
