Please Help With 9010 Intermitant Malfunction

I have been running a 9010 set up inside the display for a little over one year now with good result's and no problem's (until now). Recently the unit has been intermitantly "stopping" and then after a noisy "ratteling", would restart and begin to produce good foam instantly after...
I removed the unit today to give it a thorough cleaning, expecting to find excessive build-up causing the impeller to bind but it seemed pretty clean. After cleaning (everything) I replaced the unit back into display, pluged it in,and it ran flawlessly (for a few minutes) until it "stopped" again...and then "restarted" after a several second pause.
What would cause this? ~ Your advise is appreciated.

The upper bearing is stuck to the drive unit. See the very first thread in this forum, your pump has a very similar construction, the only difference is the propeller instead of an impeller.

Hey Roger, thank's for your quick reply. I followed thread #1 along with the owner's book and completly disassembled the "hydrofoamer" pump including the bearing bush and the upper internal bearing. I completly disassembled the impeller assembly and reasembeled after a thorough cleaning. After re-instaling the skimmer into the display it ran without problem for about 10-12 min. before it "stopped" again. For now I have unplugged the unit to prevent any additional or more severe damage. The only thing I did not do was to use vinegar during cleaning. I just used fresh water and a toothbrush but every thing seemed very clean. Any other suggestion's?
Thank's in advance ~ Dave.

At this point it would be best to send in the pump and I promise a quick turnaround.
