Please hlep identify snail

I am not sure what this is, but they seem to come out at night. Is this something I should get rid of?

It's a snail. Beyond that the picture is too blurry to say more, but the siphon is a bit worrying.

It's probably an Engina species, but there are actually several other families it could be, with no more detail visible than that. It's likely a worm eater, although it may eat other tiny animals, including tiny snails, that it can catch in your tank.
