Please ID Sea Horse

Bought at local fish store branded as Reidi... However every picture I find of a reidi is different.....

Also can someone identify male or female? (I'm thinking more a male due to the drastic slope at the belly... but I'm far from being an expert)

Reidi is a good guess. I'm also thinking female, unless she has a pouch on her that I can't see. Pouch = male, No pouch = female. Also, the female's body meets the tail at a sharper angle, the male's body kind of slopes gradually into the tail because of the pouch. The pouch will be a patch of softer material than the rest of the body.

Look like redi to me. IDing can be tricky though.

They look pretty young. Too young to sex for sure. I don't see any pouch development but then I've had males that didn't develop thier pouch untill 7 months. I'd be suprised if this horse is more than 3-4 months old.

It's just one horse for now. I eventually want a pair, but was not able to ID sexes... (also don't feel confident the LFS workers could either)... I'm still learning about these creatures, even though I've researched a ton before getting into it. That said, I don't have any judgment calls on the age of my seahorse, but it is roughly about 4" if not more from snout to end of tail.

I just got it today from the LFS. It is very active... I plan to feed it frozen mysis marinated in supplement solution. (Vitamin B and C)

Ah, okay, they have a tendency to come from the LFS a bit skinny. Sounds like you plan to fatten her up just fine.
