I've been monitoring this little thing sticking off of the side of one of my pieces of live rock since I put it in my tank 4 days ago, and this morning, I noticed what looked like tentacles coming out if it. Anybody know what it is?

Looks like maybe a closed (starting to open) zoanthid? just a guess...

Oh very good - especially if it's a red one! Keep an eye on it just to be sure that's what it is - but usually they take a few days to open after coming to a new tank...

Excellent. Thank you. It looks very dark red to me. There is just one though... I take it they multiply?

Yes - I don't have any good pictures of any on my computer here at work - but they do multiply and they are beautiful.
