Please post pics of cubish tanks

I personally think 21" is a bit shallow, especially with 4' depth. 24'-30" would look better IMO.

OT Sonofgaladriel, why 35" and not 3' even??

i would seriously reconsider using a mag 36. (man i feel like the electric police) A mag 36 uses 365 watts and only provides like 3600gph. a dart uses 165 watts and outputs are similar, if you have a lot of head id look into another type of pump but mags are inefficent over like a model 9.5 ish. mdm makes a pump smaller than the dart 2500 gph and it uses 96 watts. with big reefs its easy to get caught up in this and that and then after its all done you got a huge electric bill, and no money left to pay it.

good luck on your setup

I like the 21 inch depth personally. The 3 inches saves ALOT of water, and isn't that necessary. Also I don't think that you need as high power in the lighting arena to burn down that far. Also the glass doesn't have to be as thick savng expense. Also I have the glass in hand, and thats always a good reason for doing something. I am thinking that I will go with darts if I can afford it initially. We'll have to see how it plays out. One advantage is that my electric is pretty cheap at between $.04- $.06 a kWh. So saving $100 initially ( or near that amt) to save a few pennies a month might not be that worth it. Plus that few pennies is easier to "hide?" for lack of a better term.

REEFER714, do you have a build thread? Do have picts of your sump setup. Can you provide a list of your equipment and what you would have done different? That video is amazing, exactly the water movement I am looking for in my next cube. Any full tank shots with stand and lights? Very nice tank!
