Flametip BTA. Not as rare as they used to be.

Purchased before BTAs were given goofy names to boost the price. Tips are yellow. Tentacles are orange/pink depending on how it feels. Base is brick red.

Pic in its original home under CF bulbs. (2-3 years)

Taken a couple days after I moved it to a new home under T5 lights. Notice the density of color in the tentacles.

Happy once again in its new home.

Not sure what you'd call this one but I like its colors.

I just bought these this week off eBay from Coralcollection. The inferno and flame BTA. Picture is from iPhone under 20k metal halide the day they came in the mail. They are doing great and already eating.

This is it for me as far as BTAs go.

Thanks, I think what makes it special to me is that when most BTAs expand to full size, they get transparent and loose their rich color, or they don't have much color unless they are under actinic or 20000 K lighting.

This one has very dense color and maintains its color even when expanded. The only bad thing about it is that it has never split for me no matter what I have tried. Because it has never split on its own, I am not about to try a manual split.

It's one of the prettiest I've ever seen.

Good man. Better to have one for the world to see than try for two and ruin it for yourself as well. If there were more I'd change my tone in a heartbeat though. The only BTA I've ever liked more was one just like that with a base that matched the tips. :inlove:
