I got a great deal on some sps frags off a ebayer. 20 sps frags for 129.99. Had it shipped usps next day air, well it never arrived!! usps not even open after 20 min on phone with computers I was told it should of been there...and that the will refund me 49.99 shipping. great help. What is the chances of surrvial for these corals its cold here in NH and I thought 24 hours is pushing it. It might arrive tommorow on sunday or by monday they told me. Im sure they will be dead.......

Depends on how well they packed them. I has a ebay company that delivered usps 2nd day air. And they came out beautiful. If you pm me the name of the company, ill tell you if it is them and if so, they pack awsome.

update day 3 no corals, USPS gives me no information as to where it is or when it will arrive, USPS sucks

It might have busted and leaked out....then after someone who didnt know what it was saw the mess they might have thrown it away.

Thats pessimistic thinking, however if they left 3 days ago they are likely lost even if they arrive, particularly in such a cold environment.

are you sure the "ebayer" sent them? not getting hustled on ebay?

i have a tracking number all it tells you is that it was sent. Then after you receive it tells you it was received, so the tracking is a joke, i was very weary of biding on the item because of usps but it was a good deal going to the post office in the moring to raise some hell. the seller told be they should be fine it is currently 30 degress in nh he sent a 12-14 hour heat pack

Hey Derick they may not have shipped yet just sent you the confirmation saying the label has been paid for. I have printed shipping labels off of usps.com, and when you enter the recievers info it asks if you want to send a shipping confirm to them. Well if they print the label it sends a confirmation not necessarily saying it shipped. They may have got the box ready, shipping label, etc and waiting until Monday to ensure it gets there before the weekend.

HTH's your doubts about it. It is possible though.

first thing, when were they sent?

any experience shipper wouldn't have sent out right before a weekend.

ive had pretty good success with usps, except when the bag leaks as serioussnaps said.

i ordered it thursady it wasthe seller said he droped it off at usps in louisiana at 4:36 pm on friday, seller told me guratnteed by saturday from 10 am to 3pm. I never have livestock shipped if it is more then a day. When I talked to USPS on saturday they said, USPS express next day air is not guranteed next day to all locations it can be 2 days which is a joke, even if it did not ship from LA is still has been siting somewhere for 3 days. Its not the sellers responsibilty after he ships it, so I am out 200.00!! i will get my 50.00 shipping fee, so 150.00 loss. I also hate to see the death of 20 frags due to USPS. I like everyone else value the live of our corals

IMO it should be on the shipper if it doesn't make it. If you paid for next day it should be next day. They tell you at the post office if it is going to take more than one day. I have charged $45 for shipping through usps then when I got there they said it was gonna be 2 days so I went to ups and had to spend $25 more out of my pocket to ensure it arrived...

I am new on ebay made 2 purchases so far 1st was a asm g2 skimmer it arrived with a crack in the bottom of the collection cup. I emailed seller he said he would replace it but i had to pay for shiiping os the cup. so i siliconed it. 2nd purchase is the corals so i am batting 0-2. Perhaps the seller is not telling me something, he has not emailed me back since friday. Noot very good communication..

That is one thing about usps the tracking sux. I just hope you figure something out. I think if I where you and it comes in dead I would ask for a refund and if that doesn't work go to paypal/ebay. Did he specify overnight usps? or just usps express?

is bleeching of the sps corals most likely to happen? i never seen many dead sps corals the ones i have seen are all white, just wanted to know what to look for when the arrive

Well I would get after it. Looks like to me it's on him if he went ahead and shipped it...

thats what i thought i did not know if there were other signs, i dont want to try and save a dead coral if any of them have any color i will try to acclimate and save them

he is a poor shipper to ship on friday, even overnight, as the usps is closed on sunday and only open half a day on saturday here.

don't bother acclimating when you get them, they need to get into good water as soon as possible.

actually usps express will deliver on saturdays and sundays...man do i have bad luck, i just hope i dont get arrested when i go to the post office in the morning. The lady on the phone said coral are not livestock...So the 100.00 standard insurance will not be in effect. That is what I am worried about if they tell me that at the post office, I will lose it.
