please show me your t5 only sps tanks

Ft to bk

ATI Blue+
Geismann ??? Label worn off something around 12k
Sigfoli Actinic (Best Actinic and cheap)
ATI ProColor
ATI Blue+

I prefer to use all ATI.

I'm in the middle of a 120 build.
6 54 watt with 2 Icecap 660's

My setup will be:

ATI Blue+
ATI ProColor
ATI Blue+
GE 6500
ATI Blue+

Ft and back Blue+ will be on one ballast.

I have an extra AquaBlue Special to swap out with either the Pro Color or GE.

I prefer the blue look.

I really like your colors, thanks for your bulb info! I also prefer a bluer look with a bulb in there to help the reds, pinks, purples pop...have you been happy with the look that the Pro color gives?? I am in the process of picking as new bulb combo since it is time to replace all 14 of my bulbs and I have been considering the pro color...

do you have a full tank shot?

I would guess 2 pro colors mixed in with 14 bulbs will be fine.
Always put the Pro Colors towards the center of the tank.

For me Grim's threads have been a good source of info. He may be able to suggest a bulb combo for 14-20k look. Throw it out there and see what he says.

Ouch $$$$ 14 bulbs at once.

Here is mine--grown quite a bit since I last posted pics

I have the Aquatinics Constellation series.

from the time i first posted this link in 2007 i've seen and heard that many MH user crossover to t5's with great success. If you are one of these hobbiest could you give your opinions of which you perfer and why. could you also post bulb combo. thanks

As you know Reefahoy, I used MH from the start and switched to T5 later. I perfer the MH 20k bulbs. But due to electrical cost I switched. My next tank will be a combination of T5 and LED.

All T5's

All T5's

The pendant is a Matrix by Giesemann. It has 12 bulbs and all are 54 watts.
I currently use all Giesemann bulbs (Actinic+, Pure Actinic, and Aquablue).
The Aquarium is 48" x 30" x20" all starphire.

Very nice Bill! Bout time you post a pic :D

Im thinking about ditching the MH for t5 now. Id like to keep a couple more deepwater fish without running a chiller 10 hours a day and I think t5s is how Im going to do it.

Also, reading the recent blog on SunnyX site, they sound like a good way to go...

nice! can we get some specs?
thanks

Reefsahoy, I'm not sure what specs you’re looking for but I'll try and give an equipment rundown for you. Let me know if there's something else you would like to know.
The aquarium is a Lee-Mar. The dimensions are 48 x 30 x 20 (L x D x H). All four sides are 1/2" starphire glass. It is an open top (braceless) aquarium. I have come to really enjoy turning off the pumps and looking down into the aquarium.
The stand was custom made and sits approx 40" from top to bottom. My wife appreciates that it matches other items in my home.
It's completely illuminated by T5's. There are twelve 54watt bulbs divided into banks of 4 (Actinic+, Pure Actinic, Aquablue, and Actinic+). The Gieseman Matrix fixture completely cover’s the 30” depth of the aquarium. I am glad I made the switch from halides. The combination of open top and T5’s helps keep the tank cooler.
I adhered to the KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) ideology while setting this aquarium up. My last aquarium had too many pumps, fans, etc. This operates on a single return pump (480 GPH,dead silent, attached to a penductor), a Vortech MP40, a sump, a large Warner Marine skimmer (it’s the size of a bucket of salt), a Calcium Reactor, and the original Reef Keeper to control it all.
My only maintenance is RO/DI top-off, cleaning out the skimmer cup, cleaning the glass, and water changes. None of these follows a strict schedule and is done as needed.

Anyone here go from 400w MH to T5 ? Im thinking of doing so and I have 2 400w MH w/ 2 110w VHO Actinic and thinking of going w/ the ATI 10 x 54w set up
