please show me your t5 only sps tanks

You guys are exactly right about the KZ superblue's. They're brighter than the ATI blue plus bulbs and they are also a different shade of blue, much more "metallic".

They also seem to add more blue into the overall color of the tank when the daylights are on also.

Really like them.

I get pretty good growth from T5's alone, but the MH shimmer is just spectacular.
I've considered switch to T5's exclusively, but the amount of work it is to replace those bulbs, on top of cost is just too much labor.

here is my 125g reeftank. 72X18x21. it is only 12weeks old. i only have a few sps coral in it now.

i am using 2-36" fixtures each with 4-39w t5's. total of 8-39w. 9" from the water line.
order front to back.
ati blue plus
ati aquablue
ati purple special
ati blue plus.

my fixtures do have 2-250 14k phoenix mh's but if turn them on for more then 2 hours a day everything in the tank starts to bleach out. i might not even need to use them. the sand bed is only 18" from the surface. i might be concerned about my clam.

thanks pallobi. i was running the mh's for about 6 hours per day when i had the eggcrate tops on. i cut out the centers to get more light and within a week 3/4 of my corals bleached out. wasnt happy. with the mh's par #'s were 300+ in the sand bed.

so i figured might be worth trying just the t5's. so i took some par reading and to my surprise par was still over 100 at the sandbed and 150-175 in the middle and over 250 towards the top . using my apogie par meter.

if i lower the lights to about 6" awl it might work out perfect.

and right now im still using the same fixture for my 180g
72x24x24 the light just 48 in so it is short for this tank.

My new setup to new so it die after a week I put in the tank. I got 90g and I use all my live stock ( rock , sand, water) to 180g and sump like 210g so look like I have almost just new water in tank. And not cycle fast enough. I will post my 180g picture later.

That sucks, what bulb comco were you using? That looks like an ATI PM?
