Hi,
Love your colors...not too blue or purple...what is your bulb combo???

Solitude127,

After talking to Greg at Reefgeek, he said the PM 8 bulb fixture would be to intense for my tank. So can you give me a bulb combination for the 54x6 PM that would be similar to yours? I was so close to pulling the trigger on the 54x8, but I'm glad i didn't know. I would have hated to burn my corals.

Thanks,
sbtdark

Guys I appreciate your input. I went with the PM 54x8 with the same bulb combo that solitude127 has.

Thanks:lolspin:

Sorry, I missed this. Since you're going with the 8 bulb, make sure you start the fixture at least 10" above the tank. GL and hope you like my bulb combo.

I had the hardest time finding a bulb combo that was pleasing to my eye and gave the corals decent pop. I really like how blue plus look so right now I'm running 6 blue plus and 2 fiji purples. Do you think my sps are going to be missing out on any important not running any white bulbs?

I ran my tank like that for a while it looked really nice, like a deep blue 20k bulb. Only problem I saw was that my yellow corals looked green. Pinks, blues and greens all looked amazing. I didn't have a lot of red corals at the time but I would image their color might appear less red.JMO

I have a 6 bulb sunpower and love the 20k look but to get some oranges reds and greens to pop I need white bulbs, right now I run 3 ati blue and one KZ purple for 11 hours and 2 AB special for 4 hours to simulate midday sun.
