What do you think of a flame angel in the mix?
A FA should be fine; but let your tank age at least 6 months. Small angels really need a lot of mature LR for grazing. I hope you haven't got all of these fish in your tank already. If you have, you've got several potential problems. Are you using a QT?
You can easily find everything you need for a 10-20 gal QT on Craigslist for less than the cost of the Flame Angel you're looking at. If space is a problem, use a closet. If you won't use a QT, I sure wouldn't buy anymore livestock. Many of us, including me, learned this the hard way. A QT isn't just a nice accessory, its as important as as any piece of equipment you have. I don't know a single person (personally, author, or on this forum ) I would take advice from that doesn't always use a QT. I'm sure not trying to beat up on you, but there is no question that you'll regret not using a QT, the only question is when.
That is just a recipe for disaster especially in a smallish system plus add in no QT. Good luck manYou added 8 fish today?
You just leave some filter material in your sump until you need it. I usually leave filter floss in there in a filter bag and put it in a power filter when i want to use it and toss it after i am done qting the fish. What does everyone use as a biological filter when it isn't set up year around?
