plug for my emerald

My tank had starting getting lots of bubble algae. Almost every rock had at least one bunch of it. MY emerald crab has eaten every bit of it. There was one rock I have on its own not in the pile that was covererd in bubble algae and I thought the crab would not venture out across the sand over to it. Tonight I come home and he is sitting on the lone rock and every bubble algae is eaten down to the nub..

Wish I had similar success with the 3 slacker emeralds in my QT at the moment. The QT has become loaded with bubble algae over the last few months. Since I don't have any fish in it (thus no need to do hyposalinity) I got a few tiny emerald crabs for it. They've been in there about two weeks and I haven't noticed a decline in bubble algae growth yet.

I have one large emerald in my main tank and he does eat it. At one point I saw a few pieces of bubble algae in that tank, but they vanished on their own, presumably due to the emerald.

I either got lucky or he is young and will out grow this but I have a rather large cluster of bubble algae that is now just little nubs. No bubble and he is right in the middle of it. I just did a 10% water change and he ate through the whole thing. Didn't flinch
