lo man if this girll is really your gf. You are the luckiest man alive right now brother. New 300 galon tank and a girl like this :eek2:

The purple is actually clear pvc glue. It just turns purple when you use a purple primer.

Using the blue or the clear is fine. I prefer the clear because It is less messy. The glue wipes off the joints with the primer very clean. After you apply the primer the apply the glue and then push fittings together firmly and twist a 1/4 turn. In a time crunch wait one hour and ROCK. 24 hours to reach full cure.

I just plumbed my sump. See the joints.

LOL.. CRAZY....:eek1: :eek1: :eek1: :eek1:

Having messed with the hard PVC though I've become an increasingly big fan of flexible hose myself. It's not cheap at the larger diameters, and you have to be aware of the possibility of kinking but there's no cutting or gluing, it doesn't vibrate, rattle, or crack, and it's easy to take apart if you have to for some reason. I think I may try a compromise and go with spaflex the next time I put a tank together myself. Hard piping is just a real pain in the buttocks if you are working in a confined space.
