Plumbing SCWD

I am plumbing my "nano" with a SCWD and a 9.5 mag.

Do the lengths of tubing from the SCWD to both returns NEED to be the same length.

if they are not the same length the flow to the shorter nozzle will just be a bit more powerful...correct?

thanks

Yep mine arent exactly the same length... close though. No problems here. The SCWD keeps water in the tube uner a bit of pressure. Whatever side is not on will dribble a little water out when the other side is going full blast. So when the off side goes to turn on the tubing is already filled with water and primed.... if that makes sense. You will see what I mean when you turn it on and test it.

Make sure you gan get to it for cleaning easily. They requiere a lot of maintanence to keep working. There is a small turbine inside near the inlet that spins a wheel that alternately blocks the two other openings. I had to take it off and soak in vinegar every few months to keep it freed up.

Thanks for all the replies,

I am going to keep it plumbed with 3/4 tubing so I can take it off when/If needed.

I was just making sure i didnt need all the extra tubing inside the sump if the flow will be back and forth....doesnt seem to be needed, one return will just be a bit more powerful than the other.
