pluming to main tank ?

i would like to start a seahorse tank beside the my main tank can i just us the main systeme for filtration do any of you have a systeme like that and do you have any pics to give me some ideas

I'm inexpierenced but I do know that these two things matter (along with a lot more, I'm sure):

What's the temp of your main system?

How big is the main system? And can it take the mess that seahorses make?

my systeme is 180g reef and the sump is around 75g
temp is 78-80
are seahorses that dirty to make a mess (make a mess do you mean that they poo a lot)

That is too hot for seahorses on a long-term basis. They will not fare well at all.

I agree that is too hot. Check on the type you are planning on keeping to find out their ideal temperature. I keep Erectus at 74 degrees, and I chose them partially because they're able to be kept at higher temperatures than other types.

Yes, seahorses are dirty creatures! They're not clean eaters. Mine are picky and snick their food, and blow part of it back out. Unlike the fish in my reef tank that eat everything that comes near them, seahorses are slower eaters and won't really chase food if it blows past them too quickly.
