All my corals and other fish show no signs of it and it looks kinda like the white stuff u clean off the inside of your tank my star fish or sbials clean it up I'll post a pic of it it's not on on if u where to get him out I bet u could just dip it in and out of water and it all come off but don't want to stress what's not stressed
All my Lvls are perfect api master test and reef test kit used to test water all my corals are fine and my other to gobys my purple and fire are fine along with other fisH

It does not look like Giana of salt I'll try to get a better pic it looks more like the white stuff that gets on your tank glass it's like a stringy white slim looking stuff and only on the one fish not any of the other ones

Went ahead pulled fish put it in hospital tank so I could find out what was wrong before my other fish got it then I notest it was having problems breathing and. Felt bad for it so I killed it I took a picture of the stuff on it it was some kind of white slime it didn't look anything like the ick iv seen before on fish in the past iv diped salt water and iv also treated freash water before so if so one could help me find out what it was so I know if I need to take my tank down and redo it all together or just buy new stuff for the filter

Did you actually kill it? Wasn't it already in the hospital tank?! There was no reason to euthanize it yet, that solves absolutely nothing. You should reconsider keeping pets if you are going to just kill them if they get sick

Yeah this seems very extreme at this point. Poor fish.

Yes I did kill it I ended up being able to get ahold of a friend of mine that builds and sets up salt water tanks he asked me a few ? About it and told me it would for sure die so I killed it I'm not going to let something suffer for no reason other then the fact I want to keep it he came by the house and I had taken it out of the hospital take and put it in a clear container to show it to him it was flukes he said it would have died no matter what I did that it was to fare gone and that he has notest it a lot around here to the point that he treats ever new fish he gets before putting it in his main tank yay me because now there most likely in my main tank and we'll cause problems for my other fish as well

Also I don't just kill anything that's sick iv got two dogs and two saltwater tanks my dogs go to the vet if anything happens to them my fish get treated when it can be done but when nothing can be done for them in not going to just let them lay there and rote my other fish well all live now not only because I took the sick one out of the tank but because I know what happened to the sick one and I well be able to clean the hospital tank out get it set up for my other fish and treat them in it

Thank god you don't just kill the dogs. But do you have a microscope? Your friend just said it was flukes but you actually have no proof of that. Also, if you had done a proper qt and prophylactic treatment then you probably wouldn't be running into this issue. Regardless, there wasn't any reason to kill it right this very second. If you came on here asking for help then you should have actually waited for some before deciding death was the best and only option.

this is kind of infuriating... it could have had a chance all you had to do was listen to these people on this forum.

my friend works for the vet I go to I think I'll take him on his word for it seeing how he works for a vet some times forms are a great way to get an answer but some times there not I would have listened to anyone that would have answered the ? If it was a real answer most people would have thought it was ick but that's not always the case this time it was not and to put something down that is all ready to fare gone and past the point of saving is not mean or bad but to let it suffer now that's mean also just thought I'd add this in by kill it I mean I didn't notes it was sick sooner and I dipped it and it died so I killed it but my other fish are all fine now and I dipped them to the funny that is u dip for both ick and fluke didn't want to treat for something I was not sure of my friend seen the pics his saved a fish in the past I lost one this time it's not that big of a deal but I do think it's kinda funny that you all have made a big deal out of a fish dieing if I could save it I would have but it dieing is not that big a deal to me I go fishing all the time keep the fish and eat them I could understand if I didn't try to treat it and didn't try to save it I could understand if I just killed it for fun or just because I can but to ack like this over a fish dieing after someone hade Tryed to save it is kinda missed up don't know if I'll post on here with ?s didn't get the answer I needed instead I got some people crying over a dead fish not a dog or puppy not world hunger or the fact that we have people staving on the streets but a fish and the funny thang is there's not one person in this hobby that has not hade a fish or two die and for the most part it's because they hade made a misteak when they where starting out and most people never try to find out why they just buy more to show off to the people that come to there house my tanks not up for show its in me and my wife's bed room for me and her to see not for friends and so forth to see and tap on the class and **** to stress the fish I wonder where your tanks are and how many people see them and tap on the glass stressing the fish out just think before u type

From the pictures and when he stopped by he was pretty sure it was fluke u could see stuff fall off when it was being dipped but without testing it he couldn't be 100% told me if I seen lak of eating from other fish or there color being off in spots to dip them and to do a 20% water change to also clean caster out then add carbon to it and keep an eye on them and if I notest anything on them in a week to re dip them and put fish in a diffrent tank to take corals out and rock and dip them I forgot what in he told me though and put them in other tank then rare down my show tank sump canaster everything and clean clean it all wash sand and everything then let it cycle so forth after putting it back together and the reason he said it was for sure not ick was because it didn't look like ick in person at all in the pic it did but in person it didn't and after fish died from dip left it in water everything on it fell off not spots nothing so it's going to be a fun week for me I already tore hospital tank down because it was in it for a day or two and there could be some eggs in it he said and I'm kinda like he said it looked like it was the fish that hade them to start with and they where eggs and hatched and they didn't have anuff time to lay more eggs that's why other fish didn't have it or I just got luck but I already got everything to set up a 10g to put fish in for now and iv almost got everything for the fish tank table he was going to help me put together my biggest worry is that I we'll lose all my corals because I don't have many fish in that tank yet but I have a lot of corals Zoe's leathers and so forth

Also he has 4 salt water set ups at his house he works for a vet he himself is not a vet but his most likely hade the lady he works for come out before he cares more about his fish and corals then most care about there kids I think I have a pic of his 55g coral tank it's beautiful his been in the hobby for a long time when I was little my dad had a tank and he took me to his friends house the guy that stopped by to help me is my dads close friend I call him a friend to because he is my dad has salt water tanks two iv been around saltwater tanks more then fresh water tanks and even my little girl loves salt water tanks she knows not to tap on the glass and she knows she can only feed them a little I have everything set up on a chart feeding testing waters when why so forth and my Lvls are still perfect on the tank even though this happened my corals are all open and bright in color

Flukes are treatable.
If it was flukes a formalin dip followed by a round of Praziquantel or Levamisol would likely have cleaned the fish up.

Though only one fish being this heavily infected while all others show nothing seems strange.
