Po4 0.00??? Via Hanna checker

Alright I have tested three times and my Po4 is reading 0.00. Could this explain why my corals don't have as much Polyp extension? When my Po4 was at about .05 I had way way better p.e. I noticed it hasn't been as good the last week or so. Today I tested

Ph 8.3
Alk 7.3 bumped it up to 7.8
Calc 440
Mag 1360
Nitrate 0
Po4 0.00 - Hanna checker

Another thing to note is suddenly my sunny d zoas are closed up as well and haven't been open for a week or so. About the same amount of time as the reduced p.e from my sps

If this could be causing this should I just turn my skimmer off for a bit?

best is between 0.04 and 0.08 and nitrate at 2/3.

I'd be more, inclined to disbelieve the Hanna checked, personally.
I've got two...the standard and the ULR.

I know I've got a phosphate issue as I can see the algae and I'm having issues. It's being rectified.
However, I tested the tank with the standard and got a reading of 0.04 ppm.
Test using the ULR kit and get 0.00 ppb...

I'm getting the idea the ULR kit isn't to be trusted.

I dont have the ULR one, I dont belive it either however it has been working for a long time I find it odd it would just not work all the sudden. I didnt change anything to bring my po4 down to 0, I have no algae at all in my tank so I couldnt tell you. Im going to test again today with another checker that my buddy has. In fact I even turned off my carbon and gfo about the same time all this started happening because I read that carbon can cause this. So its possible I over stripped the water and it just hasnt raised yet.

Alright the results from the other Hanna checker are in and it reads. 0.00

I am going to test another tank so see if it reads po4 because I would think my nano tank that hasn't had a water change in months would have phosphates.

Nano reads .5 ppm phosphates. Now to figure out how to get my phosphates up... 0.00 is to low. I would like it to be in the .03-.04 range

I'm too truggle with the PO4! It seems impossible to keep PO4 in "range".
New GFO: PO4 = 0ppm
Old GFO ( around 1 month old): PO4 rising non-stop!

So, how to keep them in range?????:headwalls::headwalls::headwalls:

Maybe turn that skimmer off for a day and see if the polyps come out. I've had to do this after vacations where the tank didn't get fed enough.

Well I think the problem may be that I took my display tank offline because I need to replace it and it's a 220g tank and now it's just my sump and frag tank totally 50g and I'm running a skimmer for a 500g tank. So I may be exporting to much.
