Pocillapora nuked, what happened?

I got a nice little frag of green Pocillopra that was begining to encrust the plug and looked very healthy. first 5 days it looked good with full polyp extension. thenlast night I noticed a group of maybe 5 polyps retracted on one end, this morning entire things retracted and tissue loss in the first area to retract.

I think maybe I put it too close to a chalice? It was about 3" away. I didnt start it on the sand bed either so I guess that could be a factor? I get about 150 par where it was (Full spec bridgelux leds), but it was high up at the lfs with t5's so I thought that would be comparable for the light.

Params are fine, all other sps been doing well. Ca 450, mg 1400, dkh 10 ish, and no2,3 and po4 all unreadable for a long time. temp 79.

Tyr moving it away from a coral that could sting it. Putting the plug in the sand bed is fine. Pocillapora can thrive in less light then other sps.

yeah I moved it down to the sand bed & far from any other corals. Hopefully it can make a comeback but I'm kinda doubting it.

Is it melting away...dead tissue look like a thin brown film? If so cut as much of the still health part off to save it. Mine did this twice so far! It catches a weird disease and starts to RTN.

There was no dead tissue to be seen. It was just gone from a spot that was actually the closest tip near the chalice. It was 3" maybe a little more from the chalice. I think it was stung by it. I would guestimate about 8 polyps gone from the area and no color in that area.

It already looks much better now that I moved it. All the polyps are now extended fully again, with the exception of the missing few. I'll try to report back here if it comes back or goes south.
