HOW DO I CHECK IF MY POD POPULATION IS GOOD OR NOT? IS THERE A TEST OR SOMETHING? :debi:

Your best bet would be a fishless refugium where they can reproduce without being eaten.

well, if you have a small piece of live rock. put it in a bucket of fresh water and if a bunch of pods jump off, then you have a good population

Look in at night with a flashlight and count them.

With A good population you should look at it and say to your self "no way I'm counting all them!!". Do you have a fuge? If you can see a good density on the glass? then you have countless quantities living in your algae that you will never see. In my fuge before i put my big hermit down thrre I had at least 5-10 in every sq/in on the front glass. He ate almost all the algae in there and I just got home from trading him in for some tiny blue legs. They will we up in the DT. Keep all predators out of your fuge if you want pods for a mandarin!
