I test my water every 3-4 days. Its rare that I will post pone it for longer then a week. But I think I over do it.

After you do it for a long time, you get to the point that you can make a good guess where certain things are. Then test when you think something is out of whack.

i clicked never because the question is too broad. i test SG daily and Alk every week or two just to make sure my reactor is keeping up. Mg once every 1 or 2 months.

I can pretty much look at my tank and tell if something is amiss. I will test every three months or so just to check but everything is pretty much the same all the time.

After the tank is dialed in, you can see a problem then test accordingly.

I test pH and SG often, I don't need test kits for that. I test for nitrate once every few months or so, it's usually 0.

I haven't tested for nitrite or ammonia in years.

I test for alk every few weeks, test for calcium every few weeks.

I never test for boron.

I've never tested for Mg either.

Never. My calcium, alk and pH are all controlled and have never failed. They keep pretty much rock steady.
