Please everyone cast a vote!

On which day are you free for doing things like the meetings?

No need to reveal your personal schedule (unless you wish to of course), but I was just curious about the range of situations out there.

I say lets go for saturday most every one is free that day. Alot of peoples sundays revolves around church.

PLus when im in town i have to go home on sundays

it looks like saturday seems more popular than sunday. What now?

Actually as I learned before polls on RC can be deceiving. It also seems that there is a tie between those who could care less about what day it's on if it's to be taken as fact.

Exactly. If a meeting were held on a weekday between the hours of 9 to 5, attendance would be less as you would exclude the vast majority of working people. By having the meeting on Sunday - you exclude the vast majority of people that faithfully attend church services.

The poll results so far have surprised me. I thought a large number (at least 50%) would vote for Saturday. That goes to show you what I know.

Guess not that many people really bother to attend church anymore.

I disagree most are not in church at 2 PM which is when the meetings start. Plenty of time to go home and change and go to the the meets, that's why they start so late, that and to allow those who are traveling from farther away to attend.

But if you look at the number for sat votes and those who don't care it seems sat would be the better choice. Could you elaborate on how RC polls are deceiving?

Yea but i know some people who attend service in the morning and the evening. Ours starts at like 5-6 depending on the time of year. I know my parents would like to come lots of times but they don't want to have to change and even take a shower again befor they go. Also there is no time to fix sunday dinner:-) Which i think is a must. But thats coming from a poor college student who only eats romain noodles and tv dinners lol

There is only one way to get accurate results on an RC poll, as any one out there can drop by and vote not just members. In order to get an accurate vote you must post your poll as this one has, and you must have each voter state in the thread what they actually voted for. The results would then be compared to the actual vote numbers and any votes not supported by an actual reply post or affiliated with the CVRC would be thrown out.

This is also how we will vote for the new logo, it is the only method I can think of that will yield true results.

Yep....but I know quite a few people who have to work six days a week - and only get Sundays off. No doubt that situation applies to at least a few CVRC swap attendees. You wouldn't want to always exclude those folks.

While most people that attend religious services probably do so on Sundays (and you wouldn't want to always exclude those folks either) , there may well be some CVRC swap attendees that observe Saturday as the sabbath.

So why not rotate meeting days? :)

You will never keep everyone happy, I quit trying that long ago :D

But I could care less, I have not voted either way.

The only cons are that Saturdays will require a place that will have to be rented and that will cost everyone.

As far as people not attending church, or caring about the meeting on a Sunday. Our meetings ae always after church, so that really doesn't have anything to do with it. As far as making everyone happy, not gonna happen. Sat. lots of folks are at ball games with their kids, Sundays people are having family gatherings after church...So no matter what, some will not be able to attend for one reason or the other on either day. I don't care what day we have it on. I just need to remember and be there, I really hate it that I missed the last one, grrrr, completely my fault.
