Well, I had seen this huge flatworm in my tank once. I'm not sure what species it is or how to narrow down its identification beyond the shots that I got, but I woke up today and all 4 inches of it was in my sump!

A little earlier a new clam I had bought had mysteriously lost its foot (looked like something yanked it off rather than a natural occurance since I had just purchased it)

I'm so happy to finally know this is out of my tank- and I tried to be as careful as possible so as to not tear its tissue too much upon removal since they.. from what I read can regenerate very well

Congrat's on catching your flatworm. I don't know its name either, nor even whether it has a name. It is one of the most common species in the Indo-Pacific, though, so it should have one. It's called "Unknown Pericelid" or "Pericelis species" in the few references that I have.

Cheers,

Don
