hello guys

I just got two of pompoms from a store..they look good as well. but never had pompoms so i dont know if they should be fed something to keep in tank for a long time~

My tank is such a small one like 13g nano.. got protein skimmer hob with matrix in it and lights power head.
im gonna run this tank with some soft corals, star poylps and leathers, two clown fishes two turbo snail.
so.. If i feed two clwon fishes small amount of flakes, there wouldnt be any left over food at the bottom then nothing to eat for pompoms..

i wouldnt feed too much because mine is close to c/o and dont want water get dirty.. so how do you think?
Is that ok or should i feed direct to pompoms?

I've got formular one and two and spectrum food..
Oh i forgot to say i also got 3lbs of live rocks and 3 inches of crushed coral sandbed.

The Pom Pom Crab is white to tan in coloration and has darker markings covering the body which serve as camouflage for the crab. This crab carries an anemone in each claw which it uses for defense. Besides defense, the crab will also use the anemones to mop up food off of the rocks and substrate.
The Pom Pom Crab is an interesting addition to an aquarium with its anemones in each hand. It raises these anemones at would be predators and aids in cleaning the aquarium of any left over food and detritus. Caution should be used when adding this crab to a reef aquarium as the anemones could sting sessile invertebrates and corals. The damage that could potentially be caused by these tiny anemones that come on each claw would be minimal due to their very tiny size.

The diet of the Pom Pom Crab should include meaty foods such as mysis shrimp, chopped fish and clams.

howd i miss this?
if you can get some sinking pellets, your crabs will find them. try to distract the clowns first, then drop a few near your poms. this will work with flakes as well, you just gotta get them used to a routine, being careful with the amount you're using. i give mine a little target feed with reef roids. perhaps you could grind some flake food, then use a syringe or turky baster to 'poot' a little at them.
they'll pick brine shrimp and slower rotifers out of the water column as well.

are they picking sides of the tank or are they picking 'levels' as their territory?.

I'm so glad to hear that pompoms can find pellets at the bottom, one of mine is sinking one!! I'll try put those at the bottom a little~ thank you so much.
