Matt,
Jessica is right on the money with this one. The pic in your gallery is Anthelia.
As Jessica said it does not pulse. I have two species of Xenia and they both pulse.
I also have Anthelia that I got from Jason, it does not pulse but I like it just the same.
If you want some Xenia I always have frags of it available that I can bring to our next meeting.

Not all Xenia pulses. Not all pulsing xenia pulses all the time (there are a variety of reasons for this).
Hard to tell exactly what it is from the picture, but it does look a lot like anthelia. If you paid "pompom xenia" prices for anthelia (and pretty common looking stuff at that) I would seriously think about finding out where you bought the stuff and go to customer service. Pom Pom Xenia can be quite pricey and difficult to ship. If you waant some truly great looking xenia that pulses well talk to Kass on this forum. Her Xenia is exceptional.

Maybe a little TOO exceptional, lol! I spent an hour and a half plucking the stuff this aft, I am a little bitter towards xenia right now. :uzi: I don't know why it flourishes in some tanks and not in others, but whatever it is we seem to have super xenia fertilizer in our tank!

Looks like anthelia to me too.

Yes I have the best pink pulsing xenia around lol.
Maybe cuz Ive been growing it for at least 3 yrs and frag it alot. Its acclimated to my not so pristine conditions lol. (Ron got his from me to)
I could never keep it for long before I got that strain from live aquaria when their corals were in Cali. It arrived dead and I saved 3 little polyps from the bottom of the bag.
The rest is history.
