Pomacanthus maculosus

I've also experienced mean Asfur angels. Even small specimens can be quite belligerent IME.

A friend had a huge Mac, and it was dog tame. Super nice fish. Seems a lot of keepers share those same sentiments regarding Macs.

I hope mine gets more comfortable around me as she grows... she'll rarely eat from my hand, even though all the other fish do. Beautiful specimen in your avatar, BTW!

She really is almost triangular in shape when she spreads her fins...

Sorry for the horrible out of focus picture, but this is what she looks like without camera flash :)

SDguy,
That Mac of yours is an absolute stunner!!!
Thanks for the compliment on my avatar......wish I was the one who snapped the photo of it!
Cheers,

Still growing, he is a beautiful centerpiece of the tank. Doesn't care for any other Pomacanthus species, but otherwise, a gentle giant.

Great pictures! I'm thinking about adding a large angel to the mix after seeing yours. I'm leaning Chrysyrus, I've always wanted one. My butterfly town is more of an angeltown unfortunately.

How is the rest of the crew?

Also, what are you using to post pictures? Imgur?

Thanks! Some changes, for sure.... clowns are gone, as is the tusk(I think I already mentioned that) . The tinkeri got some weird bladder disease, I moved him to a QT, but he eventually died... really sucked. Though the Burgessi is fine with this :-D I have a big threadfin in QT. along with a tiny female lamark angel.

Had to bump these babies!
Not sure how I missed this last update, but omg, Peter, she is simply gorgeous! I have been staring at your pics and my fish trying to see your stunning fish, within mine. Lol, hasnt happend yet, I am still waiting for that "aha" moment. Mine seems to have "Peter Pan" syndrome, and is reluctant to become a full adult. She is huge but still showing subadult coloration.

Love these pics!

Ted

Thanks Ted, I'm really happy with her. Overall, despite her size, she is awfully mellow. As is the fowleri tang. Good large choices so far.
