Has anyone used this product for phosphate reduction?

It is an enzyme to break down non living organics (lotions and oils) as well as lanthanum glycolate. It is a biodegradable product without as much of a caution on ingestion. They say if you drink it the worst it could do is give you the runs but no poison control center in the future. Obviously, I'm not planning on drinking it. I just thought maybe it would be safer.

The glycolate probably should be safe in small quantities, at least. The enzyme should be safe, too.

I use this in my pool. I wouldn't put it in my tank -- It's very frothy / foamy.

It isn't always safe to assume that something that is OK to drink is OK in a reef. Copper in drinking water is a prime example.

The lanthanum glycolate is somewhat different than other lanthanum products as it will drive bacterial growth (the glycolate will) just as vinegar and vodka do.
